Round Up: Summer Blues That I’m Loving!

This year, around my birthday, I started taking inventory of my closet to see what I had, what I needed, and what I needed to let go of. It was then that I noticed that I only really had one color in my closet, black.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the color black, and I think it makes everyone look amazing, but after wearing all black outfits only rotated with wearing leggings non-stop, I decided it was time to change.

My sister gave me this cute jean dress that she originally bought for herself, only to find out that it didn’t fit her well, and she couldn’t find the receipt. It’s a color and style that I don’t normally gravitate towards, which made me think that it was probably exactly what I needed!

You should have seen the look on my husband’s face as I came downstairs in my sister’s hand me down $13 dress… He was speechless! That day I started looking for more blue dresses and outfits because not only did I feel pretty in it, but I also wanted my husband to look at me like that more often.

Jon tells me I’m gorgeous literally every time he sees me throughout the day, but he there was something about seeing me in that dress that he couldn’t keep his eyes off of me, and I really liked it.

So, without further ado, let’s get to these pretty summer blues outfits and what I love about them! (Starting from left to right).

This dress is very substantial, not see through at all. It’s a modest length, yet so flattering. I got a medium and it fits great. You’ll love the details on the fabric too!

I thought this looked like the perfect dress to wear to the beach, on a picnic, to the horse races, and pretty much anywhere. It just says summer.
This was the first dress I bought after my jean dress incident, and I loved it so much that I bought it in black too. In fact, I included it in my teacher’s back to school post – click to see what else I styled it with.
I loved the cute tie back ruffle sleeve details, and you know I love a good A-line dress. The fabric felt pretty thick and not cheap, which I really liked. It just felt feminine, which I love.
After I tried this dress on, I messaged my closest friends, my mom, and my sister, telling them that they needed this dress! It’s that cute, and the bright color is gorgeous!
I want to order this one to see how it fits. I don’t like revealing clothing, so I want to see if this could be modest enough for my taste. I did see some reviews where the women tied the top in a way that wasn’t revealing, so I’d definitely do that too. If not, it would make a super cute night gown. I’m a big fan of looking super cute to go to bed; it’s just my thing.
This is dress you could probably wear just about anywhere. My first thought is a casual outdoor wedding, line dancing, walk on the beach, date night, or just around your house to feel pretty.
This is exactly the same dress as the second dress from above, just in a different color. I couldn’t decide which one I liked best, so I decided to share both!
This gorgeous dress is well, gorgeous. It feels like satin or silk, and it’s so elegant, and yet modest too (that’s kind of a big deal for me). This was another one I absolutely loved and want to just wear everyday. Out of all of these, this is by far the fanciest one, and you could wear it to a play, fancy restaurant, or wherever you want to. It’s so flattering.
