Recently I was looking for a fun fabric to reupholster my ironing board as part of my laundry room makeover, see some of my design inspiration here.
My vision for the laundry room was simple, clean, with a hint of Contemporary and Hollywood Glam design elements. I love the Glam style, and when I describe it to people, I tell them to envision the Great Gatsby era. It’s formal, elegant, luxurious fabrics, bold patterns and artwork, vibrant colors, and a blend of patterns that reflect luxury. The laundry room plays more to the simple side, but I still needed some elements of the glam in there too, hence, my search for the perfect fabric for the ironing board.
In a later post, I will share how I made the ironing board cover, but for now, I wanted to show you some of my favorite fabrics that I found from a cute online shop called Spoonflower. They make it possible to design your own fabric then sell it to the public. I love seeing all the different designers here. In case you are wondering, I have not been sponsored in any way by the company, I was just so impressed with their selection that I had to share them with you.
Check out some of the fun patterns I found and let me know which ones you like best!
