NO, I am not having sex tonight, (although I am sure that would be really nice)… but when I do get married and have sex with my husband, unlike my friends who had sex outside of marriage, there are at least 7 things that I won’t have to worry about.
Guys might wonder why a woman would worry about anything during sex, but they do, well, at least the ones who have sex with people they aren’t married to…
#1 I don’t have to wonder if the guy knows my name.
#2 I don’t have to feel guilty while having sex and worry about others finding out (that I am having sex).
#3 I don’t have to wonder if he likes me only because I am having sex with him.
#4 I don’t have to have sex with him to get him to like me.
#5 If I get pregnant, I don’t have to wonder who the father is.
#6 If I get pregnant and have a “talk” with our parents, it will be a celebration, not an onset of depression.
#7 I don’t have to worry about my reputation being slandered for being sexually active.
I am a thirty-one year old virgin and I am saving sex for my husband. For years I have listened to my friends (and complete strangers) who decided to have sex outside of marriage; they confided in me about their anxiety about sex and their relationships. It is because of my faith in God that I have chosen to obey His Word and wait this long for sex, trust me; it is hard to wait! But aside from my faith, I just wanted to remind everyone that there are good, logical reasons why God says to wait until marriage.
