Beaches and Bird Poop

Yesterday I went for a walk on the beach with my roomie and her new miniature pincher, Jet.  That little cutie got lots of attention that day.

We decided to go to the beach because no matter what you are going through, you feel better after walking on the beach. I was sad about something and needed a break, so we went for a walk.

We stopped to let Jet sniff something and then out of no where I saw a line of slime fall from the sky and in the bush next to us. “Wow,” what in the world? I looked up and saw a flock of seagulls flying over.

My roommate froze when I shouted and she said, “What was that?”
“You almost got pooped on.”

We laughed and were grateful that we didn’t get slimed by the vicious gulls, and we kept walking.

It really was a perfect day to go for a walk on the beach. Besides making plans for my 31st birthday bash, we just hung talked and walked and eventually went home.

Later that night as I took my hat off I noticed something white on my hat.  In case you don’t understand, I love my hats and this hat is my absolute favorite.

So when I saw something white on there I started rubbing to see if it would come off… and that’s when I realized that those crazy seagulls got me.

I got pooped on today.  As if my day wasn’t bad enough, a seagull just made it worse.

Just like my day, in life you will experience days like mine when it seems like the entire day you got pooped on. But here’s the cool thing: God truly loves you and He is taking all your “poop-filled” days and using them for His glory. Regardless of what you are going through, remember that God is taking care of you.

God, even when my life doesn’t go the way I planned, I will still trust You.
Psalm 40:4
“Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust.”
